Mission Statement

The Blue Orb Foundation is dedicated to the advancement of science education, renewable energy, and environmental protection.

Legal Status

The Blue Orb Foundation is a Virginia non-stock corporation approved by the IRS as a not-for-profit Public Charity under Section 501c3.

Board Members – Current:

• Anthony G. Bennett: Tony is a businessman, author, and lecturer. He has worked as a marketing professional for major corporations (including AT&T), as a Special Assistant at DOE in the George H. W. Bush administration, as a registered lobbyist for the solar industry, and has published a marketing textbook. He has taught marketing as an adjunct lecturer for ten years, the last seven at Georgetown University. Tony received his MBA from The George Washington University.

• Beth Carty: Beth is the former senior vice president of the National Investor Relations Institute. Beth received an M.B.A. from Marymount University and a B.A. from Virginia Tech.

• Pete Kurzenhauser: Pete is a retired US Naval Commander and businessman. He received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from the US Naval Academy.

• Joe Allen: Scientist and retired NASA astronaut.

• Jim Fowler was an environmentalist and former host of TV’s Wild Kingdom.
